Support for Java

Added by vbodnart about 11 years ago

Hello,

I see there a support for C99, is there a way to run programs written in Java programming language ?

I didn't spend much time reading the description of the multicellular architecture but i suppose there is a fundamental difference with a x86 architecture, so is there some kind of emulator of your architecture so devs can write programs and simulate their execution on a standard x86 computer ?

Best Regards
Vladimir

Hi.

Emulator exists, and now it is being updated to provide support for MCp042P2 ISA and debugging interface. It will be released soon.

As to Java support, we are researching the subject now. At least ME embedded environment seems implementable. And the MCp ISA itself provides some interesting stuff to support safe languages VMs. Moreover, it provides interesting features for functional languages implementations. So we are looking at Scala, Clojure, Groovy and LiME as well.
